If you step into this work willing to be imperfect, you're off to a great start. What I can say is that catharsis comes more easily and deeply when clients can show up with curiosity, vulnerability, self awareness, and presence. Having a clear intention helps, yet often you can have an idea of what block you intend to move, and the work will naturally guide you in the direction your body is calling loudest.
You will get more out of our time together the more you can be present in your grief, painful memories, anger, and many more emotions we often declare as bad and want to shut down.
If you ask yourself what it takes for you to be able to show up in your vulnerability, and then are able to tell me about it, that goes a very long way.
Folks sometimes come in to this work precisely because they wish to be more vulnerable, self aware, and present. If these are qualities you struggle with, know that your willingness is ultimately what's needed most to feel the change you seek.

I always hope clients feel able to leave a session early or not arrive if they are not feeling able to. Please give notice as soon as possible as plenty of preparation for this work is required.
Once I begin charging for the work, I will provide refunds for folks that wish to reschedule more than 24 hours before a session. Any sooner and payment will still be required.

I decided to go with Josh at SideKick Photography for my portraits because they exercise great care and passion for making you feel safe, seen, and understood. Josh is attentive, warm, and it’s a delight to be in their company.
If you’re wondering whether or not to go with SideKick Photography for your portraits, I would bring it up with Josh and I think you’ll find that connecting with them will solidify the quality of care you’ll know you’ll get working with them. Josh is masterful with the way they are able to get folks to bring out their best selves, you’ll feel it.
